OSCAR Fast Stable Function

Loco Express recently reported that Sydney Trains was proposing to install a Fast Stable system on OSCAR trains in order to prolong battery life. 

The Loco Division can now advise that our representatives recently reviewed and assessed the live operation of this equipment on an OSCAR train and found it to function as proposed.

Sydney Trains will now begin retro-fitting all OSCAR trains with this equipment and will advise members of the change through the Safety Critical Information process.

If members detect any issues or require further information they should contact their local delegate or the RTBU Loco Division.
