OPCrew rostering for regional drivers
We’ve recently received correspondence from NSW Trains outlining its proposal to move regional drivers from the Microster to the OPCrew system, under the guise of having one system for all train crew.
Their objectives for moving to the OPCrew system are: greater visibility and management of fatigue, improved crew resourcing and reporting, provision of stopping pattern reports and better user interface capability.
Initially, it is intended to trial OPCrew at the Sydney Depot only with the trial commencing from 23 November 2016 for 4 to 8 weeks. It is not anticipated that crew will see any day to day changes during the trail as Microster will operate in parallel.
