iPhone Rollout    

Members are advised that NSW Trains recently commenced distribution to drivers of the iPhone 7. This occured following extensive consultation and a trial process to ascertain the viability of this device for utilisation within the drivers role.

Once completed, usage parameters had to be ascertained as drivers will be required to submit faults and failures via this device which could contradict the current TWP requirement. In consultation, a Mobile Device Usage Parameters document was complied and agreed which now forms a part of the iPhone training package to allow drivers to understand where and when the devices may be utilised.
