Don’t Be Bullied by Management. Know Your Rights.

Jun 20, 2017News

If a manager approaches or calls you about how or why you are going to vote, you do not have to answer. It is your legal right to participate in the voting confidentially and, in fact, if the manager insists you disclose your intentions, it is likely he is breaking the law.

RailTrain has no right to force your hand or even know what your intentions are. If the RTBU hears of instances where management are bullying or intimidating members, the Union will take action to the full extent of the law.

So, if you are approached or called by anyone from the company about your participation in the voting process, let your delegate or organiser know immediately.

The RTBU has contacted the voting company who have said that all votes are confidential and WILL NOT be linked back to the individual. If it becomes apparent that confidentiality is breached the RTBU will take this very seriously.

It is so important that you VOTE NO. It only requires 51% of these who vote, to vote yes, and you will be stuck with a dud agreement for another 4 years.

Misinformation

It has been brought to the RTBU’s attention that RailTrain have being making blatantly incorrect insinuations on their “fact sheet” by stating that all items raised in your Log Of Claims have been “addressed”.

Has the Company responded to your claims?……Yes! Has their response been acceptable?…NO!

Do not let RailTrain intimidate, bully or harass you into voting up an Enterprise Agreement that is second-rate.

The RTBU will resoundingly fight for your right to have your voice! You deserve better.

RTBU LOUD! RTBU PROUD!

VOTE NO!
